Katsina Banditry: Ex-NBC Director, his daughter kidnapped

Report reaching this paper indicate that suspected bandits again have launched a fresh attack on Bakori Local Government Area of Katsina State, abducting the former General Manager of the State-owned Television, KTTV, and a former director at the National Broadcasting Commission, NBC, Ahmed Abdulkadir along with his 15-year-old daughter.

They were taken away from their residence in Bakori Local Government Area.

The abduction of the ex-Director of NBC is coming barely 24 hours after 4 biological children of the village head of Sabuwar Kasa in Kafur Local Government Area of the State were kidnapped.

The abduction also coming less than six hours after the State Government announced the executive order No. 4, the suspension phone charging business outlets across the 19 flashpoints Local Government Areas which according to Gov Masari, was part of measures to tackle the resurgence of banditry in the state.

However, police in the state are yet to respond to the incident.

As at the time of filling in this report, no communication has been established between the abductors and the family members of the victims.
