Defend yourselves against bandits – Katsina Gov instructs residents

GOVERNOR Aminu Bello Masari of Katsina State has, today Monday, told residents to stand firm, fight and defend themselves from the intimidation of Banditry.
Governor Masari sounded that enough of residents running away from kidnappers, saying same banditry causing unrest in the State were created by them hence, they must stand firmly and fight to win over together.
He stated this at the official commissioning of Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria, COREN, Katsina State office.
According to Masari “There are challenges of life, and we are going to deal with it because we have planned this right from the beginning of time. So when people said we are facing challenges that are surmountable, challenges that were created by us, so, why don’t we think how to fight it and win over it?”
He challenged Katsina indigents to guard their places of aboard and fight the battle without fear, together they will win over banditry for better Katsina State.
The Governor urged COREN and other professional bodies to look inward toward checkmating standard professionalism.
“I want to thank the COREN President especially for coming all the way to Katsina despite all the unnecessary unfounded fear being created by the social media and people who don’t wish Katsina well, that Katsina is not safe, there’s Banditry”.
Earlier, COREN President, Egnr Ali RAbi’u said the Katsina office of COREN would in no small measures absorbing young professionals and build the professional standard among them.
He appreciated Katsina State government for providing edifice to operate and thanked Governor Aminu Bello Masari for supporting them in all areas of need.
On his part, the Registrar, COREN, Engr. Prof. Joseph Odugure said the professional body is aimed at building the content of engineering profession to meet world standard in Katsina and the country as a whole. “Change the face of engineering practice in Katsina and in the country in general.”
