Katsina Police enforce IGP ban on new tinted permit

Sequel to the directives given by the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Alkali Baba Usman for the suspension of issuance of New Tinted Permits and the retrieval of all SPY PLATE Numbers from unauthorized persons; the Commissioner of Police, Katsina State Command, Sanusi Buba, has given a marching order to all Area Commanders, DPOs, HODs and Heads of Tactical Units across the Command to ensure strict enforcement of the IGP’s directives
In view of the above, all existing Tinted Permits duly issued by the Nigeria Police Force for factory fitted motor vehicles remain valid, and all artificially tinted vehicles are advised in their own interest to remove same or face the full wrath of the law.
A statement by the Police Public Relations Officer PPRO, Katsina State Command, SP Gambo Isah added that members of the public should note that issuance of new tinted permit is now on hold, pending the release of a new protocol that would regulate its issuance in accordance with extant laws.
“The Commissioner of Police has strictly warned his officers to be courteous, polite and professional in the enforcement of the IGP’s directives. He also urges members of the public to cooperate with the police as the move is aimed at strengthening our internal security order, please”.
