Katsina spent over n300m renovating Abuja edifice – Masari

The Katsina State Governor, Aminu Bello Masari says, it has spent three hundred and sixty-two million naira
renovating the newly Katsina five story edifice
at the central business district Abuja.

Governor Aminu Bello Masari made the disclosure while commissioning the newly renovated Katsina house noted that, it would boast the economic status of the State.

He again said, similar renovation is being carried out in Lagos liaison office aimed at revenue generation for development to thrive.

The Governor urged the State indigents living in those areas to ensuring the buildings are occupied through single and multiple tenancy agreement.

According to him, with the completion of the renovated work, more activities that would provide employment would soon commence.

Masari said, competent and quality facility managers were also engaged to manage the building and to ensure sustainable maintenance and revenue drive.

Also speaking, the Commissioner for Works, Katsina State,Tasiu Danhiru Dandagoro said the amount covered both demolition and conversion of several parts for commercial purposes as well as modern facilities to meet the world standard.

The Commissioner noted that if government succeeded in giving it out for single tenancy agreement, it would generate ninety million naira annually while multiple tenancy agreement can generate over fifty million naira yearly.

The commissioning ceremony attended by two serving senators from the State, some retired heads of State, Federal establishments, members of the State Executive and legislative arms of government.
